Built Over Generations

In 1991, Jim and Pat Doherty acquired the company and renamed it Weber Display & Packaging. The following year, Philadelphia named Weber Manufacturer of the Year. Today, third-generation ownership continues to lead the business with the same focus on service, quality, and long-term relationships that have defined Weber since David Weber first opened the company in 1893.

Everything Weber produces starts with the corrugator — a 98″ machine that converts raw paper rolls into corrugated board in-house. From there, the material moves through multiple pieces of converting equipment before becoming finished packaging or displays.

The production floor includes a high-speed rotary die-cutter capable of printing and die-cutting up to 12,000 sheets per hour, laminating equipment for premium retail packaging and displays, and folder-gluers that maintain consistency across large production runs.

Keeping corrugating, printing, die-cutting, laminating, and folding under one roof allows Weber to move from raw material to finished product with greater control over timing, quality, and production.

Giving Back to Philadelphia.

Weber has been part of Philadelphia manufacturing for more than 130 years, and the company continues to support the communities around it through education, local organizations, and outreach programs across the region.

James R. Doherty Jr. Memorial Educational Award

The Doherty and Zambon families established this scholarship program to help Weber employees and their children pursue higher education, contributing up to $25,000 annually.

Philabundance

Weber supports Philabundance by donating corrugated boxes used throughout the organization’s food distribution network across the Delaware Valley.

Eagles Fight for Autism

Weber was one of the largest donors in 2025 transforming autism awareness into real impact by advancing research and expanding support.

Toys for Tots

Each year, Weber participates in Toys for Tots to help provide holiday gifts to children in the community.
